Loose teeth, and 1st lost tooth! (July 2009)

Halle all at once had 4 loose teeth. The bottom 2 were pretty wiggly. Here she is showing me her wiggly teeth...her bottom left one is very wiggly...

7/24/9: Halle lost her first tooth! Can't wait for the tooth fairy to come now!!

Recycle! (July 2009)

One day Halle came home from preschool this past spring and she asked me why we don't recycle. After a couple of lame excuses, she told me how important it was to recycle and take care of the planet (thanks, Mrs. Heather)! She frequently would remind us that we needed to recycle and kept asking when we would get a recycle bin. Shortly thereafter, we got new garbage cans from the city and I ordered a recycle bin. Halle was SO excited! She could NOT wait for it to arrive. So, when the new recycle bin came, we had to take a picture of her throwing this first recyclable items in it!

Fourth of July at the cabin

We spent the 4th of July at the cabin. As always, we have such a good time enjoying time with the family. Tyler and Tiffany and kids spent a couple of days there too. We had a blast!

TuTu girls (June 2009)

I bought these adorable tutu's at the Portland Saturday market. The girls look super cute in them. Harmony turned 3 months old on June 26th, so I thought it would be cute to take their pictures in the tutus.

I just had to add this cute pic of Hunter that I took this same day

June 2009: Family Trip to the Oregon Coast

We took a family trip to the Oregon Coast this year. Mom and Warren stayed at a timeshare there, and Kristi's family and ours rented a beach house in Seal Rock, Oregon, just south of Newport. It was a VERY long drive, stopping at every town along the highway for potty breaks, but after 12 hours, we finally got to Newport around 2 am! We stayed with Mom and Warren the first night. On Sunday, Father's day, we got up and took the kids to the beach. It was such a nice day at the beach, not too cold. The kids put their feet in the ocean for the first time and loved playing in the sand. During our week's stay we visited the Yaquina Head Lighthouse, where Halle and I got to go all the way to the top. Halle even got a button that said "I survived the climb"! Hunter didn't meet the height requirements, so Nick was nice enough to stay with him while we went to the top. We also went to the Undersea Gardens, and spent some time in downtown Newport. One day the Nick, Dane, and Warren went to the beach to do some shell fishing. Kristi and all the kids went too, while my mom and Harmony and I relaxed at the beach house. The guys ended up finding some mussells, and Warren and Dane cooked them for dinner. They were the only two willing to eat some, though! We also spent a lot of time at the timeshare resort relaxing and swimming at the indoor pool. After our 5 days on the coast, we took a couple of days to go visit Jeremy and Danette in Vancouver, WA. We stayed with them and Halle and Hunter really loved playing with Andra and Drisan. One night Danette and I had a girls' night with some of her friends. We went to see the movie "The Proposal" and to dessert at a cute restaurant on the water, I think it was called "Beaches". On Friday we went to the Portland Zoo with the Astons. It was such a beautiful day, and the animals were amazing. The kids really enjoyed it. On Saturday morning, it was time to say goodbye. We really appreciated getting to spend time with such good friends. On our way home, we decided that we would go to the Portland Saturday Market. It was a lot of fun, and I even bought some cute tutu's for the girls! We also stopped at Multnomah Falls on the way home and spent some time exploring there. Another beautiful day! And last, but not least, we decided to go across the bridge to Washington to go see the Stonehenge exhibit. It was a great vacation!

June: Big Boy Undies!

Hunter is potty trained! I had been putting off trying to potty train Hunter until after the baby was born. But when he turned 3 years old I decided that it was time. He got it pretty quickly. My little boy is becoming a big boy! I can't belive it. I am so proud of him and what a good boy he is. I just had to take a pic of him in his cute new big boy undies!

Harmony Summer-time

Halle and Hunter just can't seem to get enough of their new baby sister! The often argue about who gets to hold her next, or who gets to sit by her etc...This is just a few of my favorite pics of them spending some quality time with Harmony Summer!

May 2009: Halle's last day of Preschool, and Preschool graduation...

I can't believe it Halle is already done with preschool! She seemed to little when she started! She has learned so much and made so many friends. I am so proud of her!

Mothers Day 2009

I love Mother's Day. It is because of these special little people that I get to celebrate this wonderful day. I love my kids SO much, I don't even have the words to express it. The kids and I always say to each other "I love you so so so so so so so so so much!" I love you Halle, Hunter and Harmony!
For Mother's Day Halle made me some flower cookies with gumdrops on the top in a cute little vase, and a flower necklace. Hunter gave me an apron with his handprint outlined in paint. How cute!

(May 2009) This is what happens when you have an older brother...

So I am feeding the kids lunch one day, and I leave the kitchen to go get something. When I come back in, I find Harmony with a toy gun in her hand, a key, Hunter's blankie, and a lizard in her lap (not seen in this pic). I ask Hunter why Harmony has all that stuff in her carseat, and he simply states "cuz she needs it". What a crazy little boy! I have to admit, it is pretty funny to see my sweet little 5 1/2 week old baby girl toting a gun. And it's ironic, because I don't like the idea of my kids playing with guns. Hunter got this one (his first and only gun) for his birthday from a friend.
it looks like she has a "no nonsense" expression on her face!

May 2009: Harmony's Blessing

Harmony was blessed on May 3rd, 2009. She looked so beautiful in her blessing dress! Harmony wore the same dress that Halle wore when she was blessed.

May 2009: Halle and Hunter's Birthday Party...

Since Harmony was only a week and a half old when it was Halle's birthday, we decided to have a combined birthday party for Halle and Hunter. We planned to have a big party at the park with a pinata and games, but it ended up pouring rain that day! So, we had to change plans last minute and have the party at our house. The kids had a lot of friends over, and they had a blast! We had family parties for each of their birthdays also, they just loved having a "cousin party" too!
... getting ready for their "friend party"...

Cake and icecream time!
Halle and Hunter have the cutest friends!
Althought it was a combined party, there were mostly girls here! Halle and Hunter's friends Carson, Davis, and Jackson couldn't make it to the party, so I had to take a pic of Hunter with the only other boy at the party! Here is one of Hunter and Halle's best buds, McKay.
Halle with one of her new best buddies, Ella. Nick and Ella's mom, Tammy, were best buddies at this age too! How cute!

One thing the kids had been asking for their birthdays was a scooter! They were so excited to open these presents!
